A collection of photographs dealing primarily with the growth and harvesting of tobacco in the United States from ca. 1900 to ca. 1960. Only a few images deal with manufacture. The collection is heavily slanted toward tobacco culture from the botanical standpoint. The states represented in the files include Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, New York, Connecticut, Tennessee, Kentucky, Ohio, Missouri, and Wisconsin. A small number of photos were made in other countries.
